Mothering and My Two Nanas and a Giveaway

I’m scared to say that I keep expecting this mothering business to get hard. Sure there are tough times (I’ve cried most days since we got home from hospital), waking multiple tines throughout the night (or staying awake for extended periods of time), listening to E cry on the change table (he hates it), needing to go to the toilet right when he wakes from his nap and starts to cry in his bassinet and I’m home alone or him having a day where he cries every time I put him down, but I take each of these moments as they come, take a deep breath and move on.

This post is sponsored by My Two Nannas Online Store, products have been gifted for review.

I believe we have been blessed. Blessed with a chilled out little man, who naps well, is generally happy to do tummy time in the lounge room (supervised) while I eat my lunch and I’ve managed to shower every day so far!  Priorities right, because I can barely find time to do dishes or clean.

My Two Nanas is an online store with a philosophy near and dear to my heart.  With our focus of living a more simple, wholesome and home made life, this “old fashioned general store for wholesome children’s products (with the added online convenience), bringing the traditional values of generations gone by to our modern world, helping busy parents like you give their children a naturally good childhood.”

Now that I have more than just myself to worry about, and slightly less time on my hands, a multi-purpose glass and surface cleaner is a necessity.  The convenience of wiping the benches and then moving straight to the glass/mirrors and achieving a streak-free finish is fantastic on these time poor days.  Two-in-one Ecostore’s Glass and Surface Spray is fragrance free, which I love as scented things tend to make me sneeze, it has an easy to use trigger and is completely recyclable.

It also gives me the satisfaction of having completed something, and as I’m no good at asking for help, this makes my day.

The Wotnot Travel Wipes have gone straight into the baby bag.  I love that is product is made in Australia, is free from sulphates, petrochemicals, parabens, caustics or glycols and is 100% biodegradable and compostable! The convenient stream line container is perfect for our small baby bag and makes life easy when getting out and about, which I try to do a lot of.

I’ve heard a lot about amber teething necklaces, and although I’m not looking forward to E teething, I am looking forward to trying the Amberbee Teething Necklace and reaping the benefits.  Amber necklaces are designed to ease the pain of teething babies in a natural way and works by the skin warming the amber which releases healing oils and the oils are then absorbed into the blood stream, so are a less intrusive remedy for the pain and side effects of teething, such as lack of appetite, upset tummies, ear ache, fevers and colds.

The kind folks over at My Two Nanas have offered one lucky reader the chance to win:

  • 1 x Amberbee Teething Necklace

  1. My two nannas. Clare that’s great that you guys are doing so well. I’d love some wipes tat are better for the little man.

  2. My two nanas were a godsend with my daughter. They spoil her, cuddle her, lavish her with attention. I’m so pleased that they’ve met her and I have precious family memories with four generations! As a mother, I applaud setting a good example with wholesome, “old fashioned”, products with ingredients that I can identify. Great post!

  3. I laughed when you said you’ve been managing to have a shower every day – I remember those days well of trying to work out how I’d fit it in! Your little E sounds like he’s a wonderfully content baby and what a blessing to have a good sleeper – my two boys were horrors! The products look really good and I’ve heard those teething necklaces work really well xx
