I love viewing into others kitchen’s, don’t you? If you want to have a look at some others, head on over to Fig Jam and Lime Cordial, where Celia has collated all the other In My Kitchen posts.
There’s not a lot happening in my kitchen at the moment, the focus has been in other areas, buying a new car, sorting out the washing after our trip away, and trying to take a breather after hitting the ground running, again!
In my kitchen…
… are a couple of baby gifts. These tiny booties have found a home, gifted to me from my mother-in-law, pinned to the pin board. It’s like a constant reminder of what is to come (even though the growing belly is quite enough). These stunning soft socks are from my mum, she bought them from an amazing shop in Melbourne. I can’t wait to see them both in use. In my kitchen…
… is a small pile of posters to promote the Geelong Roller Derby’s next bout. A fundraiser for the National Breast Cancer Foundation, with 100% of profits going to the NBCF. If you live in the area and are interested in coming to watch head to our Facebook page to find out where you can buy tickets.
EDIT: I should clarify… I’m not longer skating but I am still heavily involved in the league and hold a place at the Media and Marketing representative on the Executive Committee.
In my kitchen…
…is this lovely prize I won from over at Foxs Lane. It was so wonderful to arrive home from a week away to these lovely teas. I can’t wait to share more with you about them. In my kitchen…
… is a big pile of silverbeet and spinach that will turn into dinner later today. Our plants just keep growing and it seems that the more we cut off, the more they thrive! Don’t forget to have a look at some of the other kitchens here!
I’m going to try that theory with my kale and see if it grows better.
Maybe we should both share?
Those socks are absolutely adorable! Would love to see a bump shot
I’ll have one up soon
I hope that theory works for you Claire.
I love that both my blogging Cla(i)res are expecting at the same time!
It’s pretty fun isn’t it, and lovely to be able to share it with someone!
Love the socks and booties- and your greens look scrumptious! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks Heidi, dinner was delicious!
Those teas look really neat. I have never seen that brand before. Congrats on the baby news by the way. Those little shoes are to cute.
I’d never seen the brand either, but they’re delicious!
Clare, do those socks come in adult sizes? They look so warm and cozy (and my feet are cold.) What a lovely gift. I also like the graphics on the Roller Derby poster and she-tea labels, too. Very cool. Enjoy your greens, get some rest, and thanks for this month’s glimpse!
I don’t actually know if they come in adult sizes… I’ll have to find out.
Clare, it’s all happening so fast, isn’t it? But surely you don’t still have the roller derby helmet on at this stage? 😉 The teas look delish, and how wonderful to be eating all that greenery from your garden – silverbeet (we call it chard because everyone complains less when they eat it then) is just the bee’s knees. Have you ever tried growing the rainbow variety? It’s very pretty!
No I’m not skating but I’m still heavily involved in the league. I’ll have to try rainbow chard next season!
I love all your fresh greens and they would be so good for you, especially while you’re pregnant. The gift from your mum is gorgeous! And how lovely to win a prize. I’m always overjoyed when a parcel arrives at the door xx
They are so good and good for you. Our house is slowly being taking over by the little one.
Love those tea’s packaging, never seen them before. Those socks are too cute!! Great IMK post x
It’s such beautiful artwork isn’t it!
Eee! Wee booties! I’m dying from cute
They really are the cutest, got a bassinet yesterday and I just love it tinyness!
I’m with everyone else – squee at those little booties! How adorable!
Thanks Jas, they really are the cutest!
Oh, those booties are adorable. Congratulations!
My sister is just getting into roller derby though she hasn’t been officially ‘named’ yet…any ideas?
Bernice, it’s really tough. Derby names are so personal. Tell her to take her time and not settle until she’s happy!
Hi Clare, the silverbeet looks great and it’s true the more you cut the more they grow, unless the chickens take a liking too it and it can’t keep up.(it’s fenced off now)
What’s your favourite way to use it?
cheers
Jason
The chickens are fenced off from all veggies, we don’t trust them. Mostly in things, not a huge fan of eating it alone.
G’day Clare! Thank you for this month’s unique view!
Loved the she-tea and the Booby Bout as is for a beyond wonderful charity cause too!
Cheers! Joanne

Thanks Joanne. I can’t wait for the Booby Bout, as you said, it’s a wonderful cause!
Those little spotty socks are too cute for words. I know what you mean about the garden – I was just out the back pciking yet more lettuce and thinking ‘why did I plant so much?!’. See you in Perth in a few weeks : )
Fiona, I can’t wait to meet you in Perth! I wish we’d planted more lettuce, oh well there’s always next year!
